Connect your Valor Terminal Reader to Wifi or Hotspot

For Wi-Fi or Hotspot Connectivity:

To change the Wi-Fi connection on your device, follow these steps:

1. Disconnect your Terminal Reader from Valor Connect
2. Select the Star menu. (located at the bottom-left corner of the homescreen)
3. Select 2. Comm Config
4. Select 1. Wifi
5. Choose the desired Wi-Fi network or iPhone hotspot
6. Select Configure
7. Enter the Wi-Fi password (case sensitive)
8. Tap OK to confirm password or Cancel to return to the previous screen
9. Select Connect

Tips for Connecting to iPhone Hotspot:

Terminal readers typically operate on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, whereas iPhone hotspots usually run on 5.0GHz. To enable your terminal reader to detect and connect to your iPhone hotspot, ensure that the "Maximize Compatibility" setting is activated in your iPhone's Personal Hotspot settings.

Follow these steps to enable "Maximize Compatibility" on your iPhone hotspot

1. Access your iPhone's "Settings."
2. Tap on "Personal Hotspot."
3. Ensure that the "Maximize Compatibility" option is switched to "On."
